You Never Forget Your First Time

I remember my first time very clearly.

As soon I installed Flash 5 I knew this would be the start of a relationship that would last a long time. Almost 8 years on, here I am back with the first love of my web career. Though this time I’m not wrangling with actionscript or trying to fix up my motion tweens, nope this time I’m taking it a bit easy and just giving the community on this fantastic site something to read.

Hi, my name is Hyder Jaffari and I will be blogging here with Cyan, Collis and the others. It’s great to meet you all!

I won’t bore you with too much of my background, so here’s a bullet list for you to have a quick glance at -

1. I had my start on the web in 2000 – 01 with Flash.
2. My first sites were exclusively Flash based as I could not for the life of me figure out HTML/CSS. Thankfully I understand them better today and make my living from knowing what those acronyms can do.
3. I can’t snap my fingers. I can whistle though.
4. My wife regularly tells me I’m a pixel off…from 10 feet back.
5. My son and daughter like to site on my lap while I work. Well, my son is 7 now so he doesn’t get to as much, but my 2 year old daughter likes to watch cartoons in a window while I fix CSS issues for IE6! {which thankfully is not an issue for Flash XML driven websites}

I hope to bring you cutting edge news and events from the Flash world. Round up type posts and other creative stuff that usually happen to me at the spur of the moment.
