The quest to recreate 3D objects and interfaces and display them in a Web browser has been made all the easier because of Flash and software libraries such as Papervision3D. Here on ActiveDen, authors have been creating and uploading 3D Web sites, image galleries, carousels and interfaces for several years, selling thousands of files along the way.
We’ve looked through our entire library of stock Flash files and have picked out some of our favorite and most impressive 3D files that are available to purchase from ActiveDen. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of some of the screenshots below: Be sure to click on them to view the full previews to see how effective and impressive images, videos and other content can look, all of which can be manipulated and customized by the user.

Review Plus is a blog feature where ActiveDen files get put under the microscope in order to help authors improve the quality of their work. Files will be reviewed for design, usability, functionality and features, and feedback will always be honest yet encouraging. We will always seek an author’s permission before publishing a review of the file, but the benefit to the author is free, constructive feedback with the added bonus of free file promotion!
We also invite other authors and blog readers to post constructive comments about their personal thoughts on the featured file, but please ensure your feedback is helpful to either the author or other authors reading. Offensive, unhelpful or irrelevant comments will not be tolerated, as the objective here is help all authors find new ways to improve their work. We hope that the entire ActiveDen community will benefit from Review Plus and provide an insight into how the quality of your work could be increased.
Today we’re going to take a look at a file by FlashJunkie who has kindly allowed us to take a close look at his Red Steel XML Website Template.

An author I really look forward to seeing new files from is marcfolio. What I love most of all about marcfolio’s FlashDen files is his clean and attractive design acumen. It’s no surprise therefore if I tell you that he has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication: He’s obviously putting every ounce of his education into practice inside his FD portfolio!
At the time of writing, marcfolio has 1000+ total sales from a portfolio of just 11 files. This gives us an immediate clue as to how the author concentrates on quality rather than quantity. With 250+ sales alone last month, marcfolio has already established himself as a major player in the the Top 20 monthly list of Popular authors.
Take a look at marcfolio’s Reveal Preloader for example. Instead of putting something together quickly and uploading it to FlashDen, some thought has obviously gone into the best way to make the file as attractive as possible. With over a thousand preloaders already on FlashDen, it’s hard to make substantial sales in a congested category. However, by implementing artwork marcfolio created himself, he has managed to turn a simple concept into a profitable concept. All through the power of design.
Most of marcfolio’s portfolio seems to offer files that would not look out of place on high-end fashion Web sites. Take the Portfolio Showcase // XML Slideshow & Video Player and the Whole Browser XML Slideshow Image Viewer image slideshows for instance. Seemingly simple, yet expertly executed, and again, polished with high quality images and photographs taken by the author himself.
I feel the best is yet to come from marcfolio, yet he is already setting FlashDen on fire with his high quality concepts and designs. For his contribution to design, FlashDen salutes marcfolio! Here’s a flavor of marcfolio’s FlashDen portfolio to whet your appetite:
