Win Tickets to WebDU

What is WebDU?
WebDU is the premier Antipodean Web Technology Conference, taking place 21-22 May 2009 in Sydney, Australia. This is the seventh year the conference will be held.
WebDU encompasses a large spectrum of web technologies and will bring you the best of web technologies, ideas, and what the future holds, not to mention a bevvy of top-class international and Australian speakers.
The conference offers the opportunity to get hands-on technical training, gain new skills, hear breaking news from the web industry, network with peers and industry leaders, and ultimately become more successful developing and delivering web applications. Nowhere else in ANZ can this audience find the volume and quality of information under one roof at webDU.
When: May 21st – 22nd
Where: StarCity Convention Centre in Sydney, Australia
More Info: The video should explain it all, but if it doesn’t, visit their website.

We’re giving away two tickets to this year’s WebDU conference. The competition is pretty simple; All I want is to know what speaker you’re most excited to see and why you think you should win. Just post the following in the comments below: Your author name, the name of the speaker you’re most excited to see, and up to 25 words explaining why you want and deserve the tickets. Please also specify whether you can actually make it or not.

Mike Jones
I think you should pick me because I’m Australiaphobic and I need to conquer my fears. I also want to learn stuff.
Yes, I will actually be able to go.
Prizes
First Prize – The best answer (according to me) will win the competition badge and a WebDU ticket.
Second Prize – The second-best answer won’t get a badge, but will win the other WebDU ticket.

Sorry the deadline is short, but we wanted to give the winners ample time to work out travel and hotel accommodations.

Well ..I guess I am the first one so the victory is in my pocket (:.
Jessica Enders .
She has a nice concept view point how to implement your design over the web.
She is not the best coder but i guess I am not neutral, i actually spoke with here a few years ago in a flash conference very cool lady and for sure she is the best looking person from all the conference speaker’s.(:.
I can actually make it but there is a “small” problem, FD will not cover my flight cost (:.
i will try my luck next time ……..
Brian Chau
I could learn new skills/trends and network with great people. But… out of money, life messed up, work slow, need help.
Can make it to Sydney.
I am most excited to see Andrew Muller for his topic on “98 Cups of Tea – How to build a successful AIR application” as I believe AIR app will be an exciting new thing from now and well into the future of the web.
I should win because I am an AIR head
I will be able to make it to Sydney.
Robin Hilliard
I’m currently working with Robin on a project, and I think he’s an excellent professional with a very friendly and fun personality. I think I can learn a lot from him, while he’s working on our project, and I really look forward to hearing his presentation.
Also, I was promised to get my ticket from my work a couple of months ago – when you could get the early bird specials (this is not liquid.hu by the way – Liquid Media is my personal site). When I asked them last week about the tickets, I was told that they didn’t think it had much value in it to go there, thus they wouldn’t finance me going there. I have to get my ticket for myself now.
And of course I can make it in case I’m the lucky one.
Geoff Bowers
I am most excited to see and hear Geoff Bowers because he is technically and business wise savvy, intelligent, cool, approachable, friendly, and warm. I also love his gift of explaining technically complex and difficult concepts in a simple to understand everyday terms.
You should pick me because it’s been ages since I attended the last conference it’s like the ‘dark ages’ in the Internet world.
I will be able to make it to the conference in Sydney.
mike Chambers
I am sadly stuck in the world of AS2 only and hearing Mike and the others speak might be the kick in the butt I need to get to AS3
Dale Rankine
Mobile flash rocks. I’ve just returned to Sydney from working in The Netherlands and know what’s about to hit us on the mobile front. I need to learn this now (and I live around the corner from the conference).
Web-a-DU-Du-DU, push pinapple, win a ticket! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Soooooooo Excited!
Krystina, Don’t forget to tell us who you’re most excited for!
And… closed. I’ll let you know who won very soon.
Most excited for Mike Chambers USA, USA, USA!
