Nota: An Amazing Use of Flash
Flash never ceases to amaze me. You have to check out Nota to see what I’m talking about. Nota is a simple way to take down notes of text, pictures and video you see all over the web, or to create a mish mash of things you want to just make a record off and share to your friends and family {or clients?}.
It’s pretty simple to use, in fact the target audience are kids. Though the younger ones might need some initial help with changing colors and such, but after that I think any kid within the 8 – 16 age group will find this a great little tool to play with.
The content can even be embedded onto any site with the provided code. Inserting content is as simple as performing a search and then clicking it or uploading directly from your computer. You can browse Flickr, YouTube, Clipart and Wikipedia for content.
The one thing I would recommend adding is the ability to move objects in your “notepad” by the arrow keys. If kids are their target market they might like that extra bit of control for their nimble fingers.
Overall, I think this shows that Flash can be used for educational/funtime activities as well. I know my boy would love to add a ton of stuff on a blank piece of digital paper and place it on his website {Yes, he’s 7 and he already has his own website
}.
Check out the little example I made below -
When you make any changes to your pages on Nota the changes are automatically shown where ever it has been embedded or shared. Your friends can add comments on your pages as well.
I wonder if I can use this as a collaboration tool between my clients for my design work? Hmm…

Oh god this is a pirated version of the Animator vs Animation Flash.

How is this a pirated version again ? From what I can see, it has nothing to do with what you’re saying (awesome animation though).
Cheers.
I meant the YouTube video.
