Interesting, but how do you achieve to do that when creating the fields dynamically?
    Thanks !

    Nice series!

The audio volume seems to be not enough.

    Matt,
If you create the field dynamically, you don’t need to embed anything. The characters already work.

    VF,
Sorry, I’ll try to turn it up for the next set.

Thanks everyone. I’m glad this is helpful to you!

    @ Lance

When a textfield is made dynamically, it’s default setting is to not use embedded fonts, that’s different from not needing to embed fonts, since many projects need embedding :)

When doing it dynamically you embed the font into the library, then turn the texfield’s _txt.embedFonts property to true. Also make sure that the font of the text field is set to the identifier string you used when embedding the font into the library. But a google search will give you more info than can be told in this little comment box :)

Latin Extended A doesn’t really weigh so much so you could as well include the whole set to make sure, esp. for the dynamic content, e.g. chars like š,ž etc.

+ with code unicode ranges fail in Flash CS3 IDE that has a bug in regard to it. See embedded fonts in Flash CS3 IDE for more.
