Common Questions – Downloading & Installing Flash
The Common Questions series is exactly what it sounds like – a series of tutorials answering the most common questions asked by those who buy and use FlashDen files. These tutorials don’t require any knowledge of Flash. For more go to common questions.
The video and the text below are basically the same thing, so feel free to watch or read depending on what’s easier for you.
Install Flash
Note: This was done with a PC, but the process for a Mac should be very similar.
1. Go to adobe.com.
2. Go to Products>Flash Professional.
3. Click Get the Trial.
4. Either create an account or enter your username and password and click Sign In.
5. Click the dropdown, select the language and operating system, and click Download.
6. Select where you’d like this file to download and click Save. For this example, we’ll select the desktop (this may take several minutes).
7. On your desktop, open ADBEFLPRCS4Win_LS1.exe.
8. You’ll be asked where you want to save the setup folder. For this example, we’ll select the desktop. Click Save (this may take several minutes).
9. On your desktop, open AdobeCS4>Flash Professional >Adobe CS4 folder.
10. Open Setup.exe (this may take several minutes).
11. When you reach the Welcome screen either enter the serial number (if you bought one) or select the button next to where it says “I want to install and use… trial basis” and click Next.
12. Click Install (this may take several minutes).
13. When it’s done, click Exit.
Open Flash
1. Open your programs folder>Abobe>Adobe Flash CS4>Flash.exe.
2. If you’re using the trial, it’ll ask you if you’d like to continue the trial or enter the serial number. Select one and click Next.
That’s it! You’re ready to start using Flash.
