I remember files, when as3 was a only a dream, made by a guy whose name is Yugo Nakamura, that still are incredible... as2 and as3 are tools, the result of our work is another thing... of course as3 is absolutely better than as2, but don't forget the goal of our files. I really like AS3 and all the new, more powerful tools it has, but I can't seem to get my head around loading Xml and retrieving variables, and Inverse Kinematics arn't very well documented.
