The *3* stands for 3 times better ppl! make the switch already. You should be producing files in AS3 to encourage positive change. There are so many benefits, which if you don't understand then you need to do some research.

All this says to me is that I should be creating BOTH AS2 and AS3 versions of my files, if possible. Sounds like I'm missing about half my market if I don't!

The truth is that a good file made in as2 can be better than a bad file made in as3 and viceversa... I remember files, when as3 was a only a dream, made by a guy whose name is Yugo Nakamura, that still are incredible... as2 and as3 are tools, the result of our work is another thing... of course as3 is absolutely better than as2, but don't forget the goal of our files.

By the way, I'm making a new template in as3 and I can't wait to check if the poll is telling the truth :-)

That is a very good point Sike.

I really like AS3 and all the new, more powerful tools it has, but I can't seem to get my head around loading Xml and retrieving variables, and Inverse Kinematics arn't very well documented.

But AS3 is the future (or maybe AS4)

With all the top selling templates being AS2, AS2 is not going anywhere for another year or so.

I really wish everyone would make the switch. Sooner or later people are going to stop buying as2. That's going to be a sad day for a lot of authors.
